Garden Tour 2012

Chapel Hill Garden Tour April 14-15, 2012
Abbey Garden by Spring Branch Landscapes is one of the featured gardens in this years tour.


On May 11, 2007, Mary Jane's garden was open for the Piedmont Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society.

 


Mary Jane reviewed the book "Hellebores: A Comprehensive Guide" by Judith Tyler and C. Colston Burrell in the April-May 2007 issue of the Trillium, the newsletter of the Piedmont Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society.

2012

The Abbey garden will be on the Chapel Hill Garden Tour April 14 and 15th with several other fine gardens. Please visit their website and come enjoy the beautiful gardens.


2006

On May 12, 2006, the California Horticulture Society toured the gardens of Mary Jane , and her client Barbara and Sam Wells.


2003

Mary Jane's garden, along with the Heavner Residence, were two of the private gardens featured during the Sixth Annual Carolina Gardens and Gardeners Symposium and Tours sponsored by Carolina Gardener Magazine.

2002

Robertson Garden, Hooper Lane, Chapel Hill, NC Hooper Lane was one of 3 Chapel Hill Gardens featured on the 2002 Open Days Garden Tour sponsored by the Garden Conservancy of North America.

You can call 1-888-842-2442 for the Garden Conservancy's Open Days Directory for 2003 which lists 400 private gardens all across the country which will be open for tour this year.

Paul Green House, Greenwood Road, Chapel Hill, NC The Paul Green House was featured on the 2002 Chapel Hill Spring Garden Tour in the Greenwood Road area. See www.maagcom.com for information on the Chapel Hill Garden Club Tours.


2000

Buysse Residence, Gimghoul Road, Chapel Hill, NC

Both gardens were featured on the 2000 Chapel Hill Spring Garden Tour in the Gimghoul Road neighborhood.

The Courtyard on West Franklin Street

1998 Town of Chapel Hill Community Design Commission Award for Excellence in Commercial Landscaping. The Award reads: "Walking from Franklin through the center court to the parking area beyond, one continually experiences spaces that are a kaleidoscope of texture, plant varieties and forms. In recognizing the richness of this landscape the CDC would like to give recognition to the following: Susan Koenigshofer, owner of SCK Design, Mary Jane Baker, owner of Spring Branch Landscapes, and David Bacon, owner of Pywacket Restaurant."
